Classic rock crunch from a Marshall JCM800 2203 (gain 6, master 6) into a blend of two 4x12 cabinets: a split
Modern high-gain wall built from two amps in parallel, both through a Mesa Boogie Oversized 4x12 loaded with Vintage 30s. A noise gate and a TS9 at zero drive tighten the pick attack, then a Mix split blends a full-rig capture of a Peavey 5150 red channel (into a Mesa OS 4x12, SM57) on side A with a 2025 Mesa Dual Rectifier Modern channel preamp run through a Mesa Oversized IR (SM57 + VR2, with 5150 power section) on side B. The two amps are panned slightly apart for width. A 10-band EQ trims sub rumble, boxy low mids and fizz before a dark delay and a hall.
Scenes: Rhythm (dual-amp chug, delay off, short hall) and Lead (more 5150 in the blend, a touch of 1 kHz, quarter-note delay at 160 BPM and a longer hall). Footswitches: TS9, delay, hall, gate.
Tips: the gate opens at -50 dB; raise it for very hot pickups. Set the TS9 block's Output to taste for more or less push into both amps.
